May 08, 2014 · I heard that HD channels, although possible, could put a strain in your wireless network. Streaming HD channels to the Pi should not be an issue over a wired network though. Also, I’ve yet to set up a new 802.11ac router to see if it provides enough bandwidth to switch over to using HD for my setup. Unfortunately my router doesn't offer that option, I already looked into it. Furthermore the pi will be connected to 2 seperate networks (All devices like pi, pc, laptop have internet connection via wifi and are additionally connected via ethernet to a switch which is not connected to the router) and the network I want a static ip address on isn't connected to the router anyways. Nov 13, 2014 · Network Configuration: Setup (Beginners): Navigate to System –> OpenELEC; Check the Network tab. WIreless Network should be enabled. Then go to Connections. Select your wireless network and hit connect. Enter any security pass phrases if any and you should be connected to the wireless. A list of wireless networks should show up including yours. Navigate to “System > OpenELEC > Network” and select Wireless Networks. This will allow you to browse the wireless connections and add them to your MX2.
